Bald Head Island: this idyllic little island is only accessible via boat and doesn’t allow cars. When you arrive there are a sea of golf carts and bicycles waiting for you to sweep you away. Old Baldy is the oldest standing lighthouse in North Carolina and the rectangular stairway leading up the inside of the tower is made of Carolina yellow pine.
