👽 Those Blue Eyes 😱 This sawfly (Rhogogaster viridis) is pretty common in The Netherlands. They come in all kinds of pretty colours, but this one - in my opinion, takes the cake. A neon green body with bright blue eyes. Enough to make me excited! Tried a few times before to get their portrait, but they are pretty skittish generally. This one was active, but I sat with it long enough to observe it slowed down and rested. Purple cleaning cloth as a background 💜, there aren’t too many flowers wh
