As you hike Angels Landing, you need to be able to put up with some steep switchbacks known as Walter’s Wiggles. At the end of Walter’s Wiggles, you come out to Scout Lookout. (This trail does not require a permit) For the last 1.3km / 0.8 miles you’ll climb along a narrow path and use the Angels Landing chains bolted into the rock to avoid falling.
