Local business Kays in Mauchline makes all the stones for competitive curling events around the world, including the #WinterOlympics. All the granite comes from Ailsa Craig, a small island off the Ayrshire coast 🌊 Cumnock and District Curling Club donated their trophies to Dumfries House last year when the club closed. Did you know that you can try curling in Upstate NY?! The Utica Curling Club has been operating since 1868 and regularly hosts open houses, competitions, leagues, and curling lessons. They have an Olympic Open House coming up on Saturday, February 28. Visitors can sign up for one-hour curling lessons for just $10 (ages 12 and up).
