Security camera footage captured the moments before and after Hurricane Ida made landfall in Louisiana. The storm came ashore near Port Fourchon with sustained winds of 150mph, according to The National Hurricane Center. Ida was downgraded to a Category 2 storm by Sunday evening and is tied with Hurricane Laura (2020) and the Last Island hurricane (1856) for the strongest storm to ever make landfall in the state. | cheddar news
