Today marks the final day of 2021 Junior Lifeguards and what a summer it has been! Junior Lifeguards from session 2 capped off their summer by competing in a Taplin Relay for bragging rights to be the top beach in Los Angeles County. We are so thankful that we were able to run this years program and are already looking forward to next year! More junior lifeguards taking the plunge at OB Pier

Summer means Junior Lifeguards along Santa Cruz County's coast. This is Capitola Junior Lifeguards and there are four others, the city of Santa Cruz runs one and State Parks has three that they operate on state beaches in the county. In total, thousands of our youth will be taking part in Junior Guards this summer learning valuable lessons in ocean safety, teamwork and getting great exercise all while having fun.
