For more than 90 years the S. S. Atlantus has been sticking out of the Delaware Bay at Sunset Beach in Cape May. It was one of a few experimental ships made of concrete built during World War I. The Atlantus ran aground while under tow during a storm in 1926. Several attempts were made to free the ship, but none were successful. She has been slowly deteriorating ever since and it's only a matter of time before the last of her remains disappear beneath the waves. | Real Brigantine
