More than 65,000 Bhutanese have migrated abroad over the years in search of better education and higher earnings. The Migration Dynamic Report, launched today, calls for urgent domestic reforms to retain local talent by providing more and better jobs for aspiring migrants and skilled workers. The report also highlights that many Bhutanese migrants are willing to return or reconsider migration if the current wage levels in Bhutan meet their minimum income expectations.
