I think it goes without saying but cost of the used compare to the price of new Golf R and fresh warranty comes into play for me. Dec 30, 2014 · Considered and drove both GLA 45 AMG and Golf R, bought the R in the end. Golf R rides better, feels better balanced overall. VW have been evolving Golf platform for decades, and it shows. Whereas GLA is brand new (albeit on CLA platform, itself quite new), and feels like not everything is sorted out yet.
