A disturbance in the Northwestern Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico could form into a Tropical Depression in the next couple of days, the National Hurricane Center said.

A low-pressure system over the western Caribbean Sea could develop into a tropical depression in the Gulf of Mexico in several days, according to the National Hurricane Center in Miami.

Environmental conditions could allow for gradual development and a tropical depression could form in a few days while the system is over the southern Gulf of Mexico or northwestern Caribbean Sea. Any interests along the U.S. Gulf Coast should continue to monitor the progress of this system.
