A Los Angeles Rams official told USA TODAY Sports that roughly 30 members of the organization (coaches, players and staff members) evacuated their homes due to the fires. The Rams had an understandable reason to be distracted versus the Minnesota Vikings at State Farm Stadium on Monday night.

Sam Darnold and the Vikings’ dream season came to an abrupt end Monday night with a 27-9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in the first round of the NFL playoffs. The Rams were the home team at the home stadium of the Arizona Cardinals after the NFL moved the game to Arizona because of the deadly wildfires in the Los Angeles area.
