Zomato co-founder Akriti Chopra has stepped down after 13 years with the company, effective September 27, 2024.

Zomato is focused on ramping up its going-out segment and launching the District app to tap into synergies from its quick commerce and food delivery segments.

In October 2020, Chopra was given a plum post in the company as Head of People Development. Later, she became Chief People Officer in 2021.
