South Korea's transport ministry is preparing to order all airlines in the country that operate Boeing jets to examine fuel switches in accordance with a 2018 advisory from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration,

The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has said the fuel control switches in Boeing aeroplanes are safe, following their reported involvement in a fatal Air India crash that killed 260 people in June.

US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Boeing have since issued internal notifications stating that the fuel switch design is safe and does not warrant an airworthiness directive.
