Jackson Koivun, the No. 2 golfer in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, will make the cut at even par and earn his 18th point in PGA Tour University Accelerated, putting him two away from a PGA Tour card. And making the cut to earn a point was far from easy, calling it one of the most difficult rounds of his life.

But on Thursday at Torrey Pines, the infamous Southern California winds reached a point of no return — the tour had to stop the second round as gusts exceeded 35 miles per hour. Balls began to move on the greens, and tournament officials have no choice but to sound the horn whenever that happens.

The field for this week's Farmers Insurance Open includes six past champions, including two players who have won twice at Torrey Pines.
