A devastating bus-tanker collision near Madinah has left 42 Indian pilgrims, including women and children, dead while returning from Umrah.

A bus carrying Umrah pilgrims from Hyderabad collided with a diesel tanker and burst into flames, killing 42 people with just one survivor. Helplines have been opened as families await news.

The launch of Nusuk is part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which aims to increase visitor capacity and enhance pilgrim services. Alongside the platform, the Kingdom is upgrading airports, public transport, and accommodation, offering options from luxury Umrah packages to budget-friendly stays.

Hyderabad Parliamentarian Asaduddin Owaisi expressed deep anguish about the tragedy in Saudi Arabia, in which several pilgrims from Hyderabad are reported to have been killed in a bus accident in that country.
