We are monitoring a winter weather storm that is going to be moving across 25 states over the next day or so. An area of low pressure and trailing front is bringing potential for some strong to severe storms to Southeast Texas today.

A freeze warning has been issued for most of Southeast Texas as a blast of stinging cold is expected to arrive Sunday night, with temperatures remaining in the 20s, 30s and 40s through much of the week.

This weekend will be pretty mild, but things will change as a cold front moves through Sunday, sending temperatures plunging below freezing. Timeline: The high temperature for Sunday is 62 degrees, but it will happen at about 7 o'clock in the morning.
