NEW YORK - A mass shooting in Jamaica, Queens left 10 teenagers hurt when police say several suspects opened fire outside a venue. It happened just after 11:15 p.m. on New Year's Day outside the Amazura Concert Hall on 144th Place.

The shooting took place outside an “upscale private event space” in the Jamaica neighborhood of Queens, Philip Rivera, the Police Department’s chief of patrol, told reporters. About 90 people were inside the venue at the time, he said, and about 15 others were waiting in a line outside.

Police in Jamaica are searching for the gunmen involved in a mass shooting outside a nightclub Wednesday night that left at least 10 people injured. The incident occurred around 11:20 p.m. on Jan. 1 outside the Amazura event hall, located at 91-12 144th Place, within the 103rd Precinct, law enforcement sources said.
