As announced in the new State of Play, PlayStation 5 players can now join in the Palworld fun with a port out on Sony’s platform just a week after maker Pocketpair was sued by Nintendo for alleged patent infringement.

Palworld is out now on PlayStation 5, Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Pocketpair announced during Tuesday’s State of Play broadcast. It’s somewhat awkward timing for the creature catching, open world survival game, closely following a Japanese lawsuit filed recently by The Pokémon Company.

Surprise! Palworld, one of the biggest games of the year, has suddenly arrived on PS5. But its debut on the console comes just days after Nintendo and The Pokémon Company filed a patent infringement suit against developer Pocketpair.
