Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: The Utah Hockey Club pulled off a 3-2 win, thanks to a last-minute overtime goal from Dylan Guenther. It was the story of Tuesday’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers and it happened again on Thursday in Utah’s rematch with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

COLUMBUS -- Dylan Guenther scored in overtime for the second straight game, giving the Utah Hockey Club a 3-2 win against the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena on Thursday. Guenther took an outlet pass from goalie Connor Ingram for a breakaway and scored on his own rebound at 4:27.

Dylan Guenther has proven to have a penchant for the dramatic. For the second straight game, Utah’s leading scorer found the back of the net in the final minute of overtime to give UHC a 3-2 win over Columbus Thursday night.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Dylan Guenther did it again. This time it was just a bit less dramatic, but only a bit. With 33 seconds left in overtime, the 21-year-old forward rebounded his own shot and then almost casually flipped it past Rlvis Merzlikins to lift the Utah Hockey Club to a 3-2 win over Columbus Thursday at Nationwide Arena.

That is when Dylan Guenther struck. The Utah Hockey Club forward forced his way into the zone and sniped the puck into the back of the net, securing a 3-2 for his team Tuesday night at Delta Center just before the final horn.

Connor Ingram came out of the net to defend against Columbus’ rush and rocketed the puck off the boards and up the ice. Guenther gathered it at the offensive blueline, got an initial shot off which was stopped and then tapped in his own rebound for the final 3-2 scoreline. Ingram got an assist on the play and made 20 saves on the night.

Dylan Guenther wowed the crowd in his debut with a clutch overtime goal, scored with just tenths of a second left on the clock, en route to a three-point game.
