Freshman VJ Edgecombe scored 20 of his career-high 30 points in the second half to rally Baylor to a 70-62 win over Kansas State.

Their overall road losing streak grew to 14 Saturday with an 84-74 loss at Kansas. Baylor (11-6, 3-3) has dropped two straight games, most recently a 74-71 decision Sunday at home to TCU.

The addition of Ugonna Onyenso to the rotation is starting to pay dividends. Jerome Tang barely used the 7-foot Kentucky transfer at the beginning of Big 12 play, but his playing time is now on the rise. He played 13 minutes against the Bears and only contributed two rebounds.
