The Critics Choice Awards have been postponed as the Los Angeles wildfires continue to grow, according to media reports. The organization follows suit after Saturday’s BAFTA Tea Party was canceled, and the AFI Awards were also postponed until a later date.

The latest round of Bafta Rising Star nominations, which hails the stars of tomorrow, positions the series as a signifier of future talent – much in the same way Skins made stars of Nicholas Hoult, Dev Patel and Daniel Kaluuya back in the 2000s.

This year’s crop of rising stars include an Oscar hopeful, an Emmy winner, and three vets of HBO’s ‘Industry.’

Marisa Abela, who portrayed late singer Amy Winehouse in biopic "Back to Black", and "Anora" star Mikey Madison are among the five nominees for the EE Rising Star Award at next month's British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Film Awards.
