A battle of runs between Kansas and Kansas State eventually tipped in the Jayhawks' favor. Kansas State dropped their fifth consecutive Big 12 game Saturday afternoon. They once again lost the rebound battle and were outscored in the paint.

The addition of Ugonna Onyenso to the rotation is starting to pay dividends. Jerome Tang barely used the 7-foot Kentucky transfer at the beginning of Big 12 play, but his playing time is now on the rise. He played 13 minutes against the Bears and only contributed two rebounds.

Kansas has lost three straight games at Iowa State’s Hilton Coliseum for the first time in the 22-year Bill Self era.
