Camp New Beginnings is giving West Texas children with diabetes a chance to enjoy some fun in the sun.

A line of kids started counting down the seconds until the clock struck noon Wednesday and they could get their free summer lunch at Evergreen Park in central Vancouver.

The foundation helped 80 students prepare to go back to school. They were able to acquire new clothes, backpacks and school supplies.
