If you're an HBO Max customer who watches the CNN Max live news stream, you have limited time left to do so. With CNN launching a new streaming product this fall, Standard and Premium subscribers will have to say goodbye on Nov. 17.

HBO Max subscribers will lose their live CNN news programming next month. Two years after adding live CNN programming, the Warner Bros. Discovery streaming service will cut its CNN Max offering beginning Nov. 17, the company says.

CNN will discontinue its live news stream on HBO Max Nov. 17, 2025, as it readies its own standalone streaming product. HBO Max subscribers will still have access to select CNN Originals, however.

CNN Max launched just over two years ago, but is shutting down as WBD preps to separate. It has been really difficult for CNN in the streaming world since Warner Bros. Discovery took over the network in 2022.

CNN has decided to end its 24/7 offering on HBO Max ahead of its upcoming standalone streaming service, the network announced on Friday. HBO Max will no longer be The One To Watch for CNN, at least if you were using the platform to stream content from the network 24/7. Today, HBO announced that it would be ending the constant stream of news on November 17.
