Rory McIlroy wins Irish Open after forcing playoff with eagle on 72nd hole, claiming fourth victory of 2025

Rory McIlroy had quite a homecoming on Sunday winning the 2025 Irish Open just under 2 hours from where he grew up in Northern Ireland. Draining a 28-foot eagle putt on the 72nd hole of regulation to force a playoff, the Ulsterman ultimately sealed his second victory at the Irish Open on the third extra hole of the tournament.
