A new yellow weather warning for heavy rain has been issued by the Met Office following flash flooding earlier this week. The warning will be in place across most of England and Wales from 5pm on Thursday until 10am on Friday.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Thursday as heavy rain is set to hit the UK, just days after flash flooding wreaked havoc. Parts of north-east England are expected to see further disruption to transport routes and homes, just days after a month’s rainfall fell on Monday, reaching 100mm in some areas.

Whilst some areas will miss the worst, areas of heavy, showery rain are expected to become widespread across a swathe of England and Wales during Thursday evening and on into Friday morning the Met Of
