"Sinners" has become a can't-miss film, and the box office numbers show it as the film is eyeing a $44 million second weekend.

Distribution execs across town are going nuts about Warner Bros’ Sinners. The conservative estimate is that it lands with a $30M second weekend at 3,347, but don’t be shocked if there’s much more, potentially even a -17% to -26% ease ($35M-$40M) as the demos for the films broadens out well beyond horror fans.

That's not to say that Ben Affleck's 'Accountant' sequel and the 'Star Wars: Episode III' rerelease aren't also feeding the box office boom, with overall revenue up more than 100 percent over last year.
