Alex Lyon is nearing a return, and that may spell another trip to the minors for Ville Husso. Lyon was back on the ice at the Detroit Red Wings' practice Tuesday, after being sidelined a few days because of a lower-body injury suffered during practice Nov.

Due to injury or ineffectiveness, Ville Husso hasn’t finished his past three starts with the Detroit Red Wings. That needs to change tonight if the Red Wings have any hope of defeating the New York Rangers, who’ve become their nemesis of late, at Little Caesars Arena (7 p.m., FanDuel Sports Network).

Alex Lyon returned to practice Tuesday, after having suffered a lower-body injury Thursday. That forced the Wings to recall Ville Husso from Grand Rapids the next day, with Cam Talbot starting Friday and Husso Saturday, while Lyon was getting healthy.
