Scottie Scheffler continued his run of dominance on Sunday, winning the Open Championship by four strokes, his third major championship in the past two years and fourth overall.

Rory McIlroy was the story coming in, but he had to give Scottie Scheffler his flowers after the American won the Open Championship.

Scheffler entered the final round with a four-stroke lead and never wavered, finishing at 17-under par. Harris English placed second at 13-under, while McIlroy delivered a strong showing of his own, finishing tied for seventh at 10-under par.
