Michael Malone can’t get enough of Russ. The 10th-year Nuggets coach arrived at Ball Arena for work around 8 a.m. Saturday and found Russell Westbrook already in the gym, working out. Practice wasn’t starting until 11.

He most recently spent time with the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers over the previous four years. While Westbrook still put up good numbers, the fit could have been better. Westbrook is entering his first season with the Denver Nuggets.
