Two RBIs from Alec Burleson, seven innings from starter Matthew Liberatore, and a save in his first opportunity by Gordon Graceffo helped the Cardinals beat the Pirates 2-1 on Tuesday.

The St. Louis Cardinals won a closely fought encounter against the Pittsburgh Pirates in a closely contested 2-1 win, and in the process, extended their unbeaten run over Paul Skenes, who is still winless against them.
