Utah Mammoth. That is the permanent brand identity of Utah’s NHL franchise after a 13-month process that included four rounds of surveys and more than 850,000 votes, the team announced Wednesday.

The NHL team in Salt Lake City will be called the Utah Mammoth going forward, ending a protracted, year-long naming process that began with the Arizona Coyotes becoming the Utah Hockey Club last year. The franchise revealed its new identity with a video on X on Wednesday.

Owners Ryan and Ashley Smith unveiled the franchise’s permanent name Thursday morning after nearly a year of fan input and voting.
