Knicks HC Mike Brown demands Jalen Brunson MVP consideration after 40-point showing vs. Magic
Mike Brown demanded MVP consideration for Jalen Brunson after he dropped 40 points in the Knicks' win over the Magic on Saturday night.
“And so for me, Jalen is just doing what he gets paid to do,” Brown said. “He’s an MVP candidate in this business, and he’s just showing it again to everybody, and hopefully, you guys and the rest of the world take notice of it.” The competition, however, isn’t some cake walk.
This level of play aligns with Brown's assertion that true MVP candidates are often found on the top teams in their conferences. Brown emphasized that MVP candidates are typically the leading figures on top-performing teams.
Jalen Brunson had an astounding crossover move on Anthony Black in the Knicks' NBA Cup showdown against the Magic on Saturday night.
Brunson gets by with elite footwork that is second to none and that Brown compares to Kobe Bryant’s. Brunson’s ability to routinely play off two feet keeps him in control of himself and a defender. It’s the fundamentals that separate him from a lot of the other elite scorers in the NBA.
It is no surprise that Jalen Brunson is a fan favorite in New York city. After guiding the New York Knicks to the Eastern Conference Finals last season for the first time in 25 years, Brunson has been an indispensable star for the Knicks.
Josh Hart auditioned for Smile 3 without knowing it when he creeped out Jalen Brunson after the New York Knicks' latest game.
