Israeli attacks on the airport in Sanaa and the port of Al Hudaydah in Yemen have posed a danger to the WHO chief. The Houthi rebels accuse Israel of aggression, recalling previous attacks on Israel.

Israel has banned the pan-Arab Al Jazeera network and accused six of its Gaza reporters of being militants. The Qatar-based broadcaster denies the allegations and accuses Israel of trying to silence its war coverage, which has focused heavily on civilian casualties from Israeli military operations.

Israeli air strikes pummeled Sanaa’s international airport and other targets in Yemen on Thursday, with Huthi rebel media reporting six deaths. World Health Organization chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on social media he was at the airport during the strikes,
