Amazing state park that combines history and nature. The well preserved fort is just part of the adventure. There are plenty of hiking trails and beach access to get lost in nature.Full review by jwdonten
Our kids are experienced road bikers, but we've never mountain biked. Should we stick to the roads on our bikes or could we handle the bike paths? Our kids will have their nice Treks but we'll be on local rental bikes.

I see a lot of people mentioning the ability to fish at this SP. Has anyone actually spent the time here to fish & have you caught anything? Heading there in a couple weeks and just wondering if we should even think about planning a meal around the fish we catch....

Not really, the big fishing used to take place on the fishing pier, which was partially destroyed by the hurricane 3-years ago, and has since been totally removed.
