WEBSep 14, 2024 — My son has a 3016 Mahindra. About half the time when you go to start it, it just clicks. Let off the key and try again, maybe many times, and it will start. Contacts in the starter solenoid are burnt, keep trying and it eventually makes contact. So your fix is a new solenoid, the one mounted on the starter.

It was an easy fix but you'll find that you need to lock the brakes on hillsides, etc. I'll show you a picture. What happened is the cable shield pulled through the split tube holder and made the cable end come through the holder.
